Chapter 07

DNA

Introduction
A typical profile of DNA can be as individual as one's fingerprints, but like fingerprints DNA profiling is circumstantial evidence. However, a defendant has a much better chance of explaining why his fingerprints were found on the victim's car than he does explaining why his semen was found in her vagina. A suspect may be able to explain why his
fingerprint was on a child's toy but may never be able to explain how the child's blood and his semen got on the child's clothing.

Too Many"

The attack could have been an explosion of rage ignited the moment she opened the door, or perhaps the visitor struck first while preparing to leave. Whenever it started, the attack progressed rapidly.
